📍 Where is Tuvalu?
Tuvalu is a remote island country in the South Pacific Ocean, located between Hawaii and Australia. It consists of nine small islands and has a population of just over 11,000 people. With most of its land only 2 meters above sea level, Tuvalu is among the world's most vulnerable countries to climate change.
🌡️ Why Is Tuvalu Disappearing?
The biggest threat to Tuvalu is sea-level rise, caused by global warming. As polar ice melts and ocean temperatures rise, sea levels continue to increase.
